അഗ്നിയാല്‍ പരിശോധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ദിവസം.
10എനിക്കു നല്കപ്പെട്ട ദൈവകൃപയനുസരിച്ച്, ഒരു വിദഗ്ധ ശില്പിയെപ്പോലെ, ഞാന് അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടു. മറ്റൊരുവന് അതിന്മേല് പണിയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എപ്രകാരമാണ് താന് പണിയുന്നതെന്ന് ഓരോരുത്തരും ഗൗരവപൂര്വം ചിന്തിക്കട്ടെ. 11യേശുക്രിസ്തുവെന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനം സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞു; അതിനുപുറമേ മറ്റൊന്നു സ്ഥാപിക്കാന് ആര്ക്കും സാധിക്കുകയില്ല. 12ഈ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് ആരെങ്കിലും സ്വര്ണമോ വെള്ളിയോ രത്നങ്ങളോ തടിയോ പുല്ലോ വയ്ക്കോലോ ഉപയോഗിച്ചു പണിതാലും 13ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും പണി പരസ്യമാകും. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ദിനത്തില് അതു വിളംബരം ചെയ്യും. അഗ്നിയാല്‍ അതു വെളിവാക്കപ്പെടും. ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും പണി ഏതു തരത്തിലുള്ളതെന്ന് അഗ്നി തെളിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. 14ആരുടെ പണി നിലനില്ക്കുന്നുവോ അവന് സമ്മാനിതനാകും. 15ആരുടെ പണി അഗ്നിക്കിരയാകുന്നുവോ അവന് നഷ്ടം സഹിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; എങ്കിലും അഗ്നിയിലൂടെയെന്ന വണ്ണം അവന് രക്ഷപ്രാപിക്കും. 16നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയമാണെന്നും ദൈവാത്മാവ് നിങ്ങളില് വസിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ലേ? 17ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ ദൈവവും നശിപ്പിക്കും. എന്തെന്നാല്, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം പരിശുദ്ധമാണ്. ആ ആലയം നിങ്ങള് തന്നെ.
കളകള്‍ അഗ്നിക്കിരയാക്കും.
34ഇതെല്ലാം യേശു ഉപമകള് വഴിയാണ് ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്. ഉപമകളിലൂടെയല്ലാതെ അവന് ഒന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല. 35ഞാന് ഉപമകള് വഴി സംസാരിക്കും, ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതല് നിഗൂഢമായിരുന്നവ ഞാന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്ന പ്രവാചക വചനം പൂര്ത്തിയാകാനായിരുന്നു ഇത്.
കളകളുടെ ഉപമ - വിശദീകരണം36ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ട് അവന് വീട്ടിലേക്കു വന്നു. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുത്തുവന്ന് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു: വയലിലെ കളകളെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന ഉപമ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശദീകരിച്ചു തന്നാലും! 37അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു: നല്ല വിത്തു വിതയ്ക്കുന്നവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനാണ്. 38വയല് ലോകവും നല്ല വിത്ത് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും കളകള്‍ ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുമാണ്. 39അവ വിതച്ച ശത്രു പിശാചാണ്. കൊയ്ത്തു യുഗാന്തമാണ്; കൊയ്ത്തുകാര് ദൈവദൂതന്മാരും. 40കളകള്‍ ശേഖരിച്ച് അഗ്നിക്കിരയാക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെയോ അങ്ങനെതന്നെ യുഗാന്തത്തിലും സംഭവിക്കും. 41മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയയ്ക്കുകയും 42അവര് അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തു നിന്ന് എല്ലാ പാപഹേതുക്കളെയും തിന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെയും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂട്ടി അഗ്നികുണ്ഡത്തിലേക്കെറിയുകയും ചെയ്യും. അവിടെ വിലാപവും പല്ലുകടിയുമായിരിക്കും. 43അപ്പോള് നീതിമാന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ പ്രശോഭിക്കും. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.
The day to be tested by fire
10According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, 11for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ. 12If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of each one’s work. 14If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. 15But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire. 16Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.
The weeds will catch fire
The Use of Parables.34All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables. He spoke to them only in parables, 35to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation [of the world].”
The Explanation of the Parable of the Weeds.36Then, dismissing the crowds, he went into the house. His disciples approached him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” 37He said in reply, “He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, 38the field is the world, the good seed the children of the kingdom. The weeds are the children of the evil one, 39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. 40Just as weeds are collected and burned [up] with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. 41The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers. 42They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears ought to hear.
